Description
SPECIFICATION
Motors are suitable for almost all applications and will operate satisfactory at temperatures from -20oC to +40oC and at altitudes up to 1000 meters above sea level.
 
INSULATION AND TEMPERATURE RISE
The insulation system is Class F(1100oC) and the motors are designed to operate with class B temp, rise(80oC). This means very long life and reliability, together with the ability to withstand ambient temparatures as high as 45oC or adverse electrical supply situations. Motors with class H insulation are available on request.
 
COOLING
The standard cooling method is Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) in accordance with code IC 411 of IEC 60034-6.
 
ENCLOSURE
The standard protection are IP55, which offers complete protection against contact with live or moving parts inside the enclosure and against water splashed from any direction. A higher degree of protection is available.
 
TERMINAL BOX
Terminal boxes on all motors are of a generous size for ease of connection and maintanance.
 
VOLTAGE
Standard voltage are 380V, 499V, 415V at 50Hz, but can be wound to any single voltage in the range 200-660V.
 
Frame Material
71 -132 = Aluminium
160 - 355 = Cast Iron
 
 
STARTING
Direct-online starting can be used on all frame sizes. Single speed, single voltage motors above 2.2kW are provided with 6 terminal that can be used for star-delta starting if required. All motors, when stared direct-on-line, meet the requirements of IEC 60034-12.
 
SHAFTS
All shaft diameters are machined to IEC 60072. For ease of fitting, removing or securng fitments, a tapped hole in the drive end shaft is provided as standard on all motors shafts.
 
BALANCE
All motors are dynamically balance to IEC 60072. Reduced and special balances are available.
 
TOLERANCES ON MAIL PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS
IEC 60034-1, specifies allowable tolerances for efficiency, power factor, speed, locked rotor torque, pullout torque, starting current and moment of inertia.
 
TESTING
All motors are tested to strict engineering tolerances and are subject to mechanical and electrical tests at intermediate and final stages of manufacture. Individual motors are also tested to specific customer requirements.
 
QUALITY
Stringent quality procedures are observed from design to finished product in accodance with the ISO9001 documented quality systems. Our factories have been assessed to meet these requirements, a further assurance that only the highest possible standards of quality are acepted.
